Saveforarainyday impressed in her maiden and has to be of interest despite top weight, while Arslan and Lincoln Du Seuil are other respected handicap debutants in their bids to give Willie Mullins a third successive win in this race. There are plenty of others to consider and THANKYOUFORTHEDAYS was heavily backed when bolting up in his first handicap. He went up 13lb but this half-brother to the stable's smart chaser The Long Mile is bred to keep improving.[Alistair Jones] Show less
Spotlight: Quiet in his maidens but was loud in the market ahead of his handicap debut at Naas (soft to heavy) and duly won with any amount in hand; whacked up 13lb but he's well related and no doubt has a lot more to offer.
Spotlight: It wasn't a strong maiden he won at Thurles (soft/heavy; beat two outsiders) but he did that very easily under positive tactics and he's clearly unexposed ahead of this first handicap; his yard has won the last two renewals.
Spotlight: Fourth of 21 behind the smart Ballyfad in a Leopardstown maiden before winning very easily in a first-time hood (removed) at Limerick (heavy); this well-bred mare is potentially well handicapped despite top weight.
Spotlight: Had plenty of chances before finally coming good in a maiden at Gowran (heavy); that was a weak race for which she went off at odds of 2-9; front-runner who can be keen and making all in this field won't be easy.
Spotlight: Winning pointer; nice run behind the classy Oldschool Outlaw before keeping on well enough to land a maiden at Clonmel (heavy); dangerously unexposed handicap debutant from a leading yard.
Spotlight: 0-7; disappointing favourite at Tramore last time but has had a break since then and his previous seconds in 2m handicaps (in a tongue-tie) need respecting; each-way claims with tongue-tie back on.
Spotlight: Rated 80 on the Flat after three runs; still a maiden after four runs over hurdles but was placed behind respected opposition in the middle two and he has to be interest against older opposition on handicap debut.
Spotlight: Lightly-raced 5yo who raised his game to finish second in a Wexford maiden (soft) and he brings potential off this sort of mark; respected.
Spotlight: Won a point 13 months ago; no closer than 12l in four runs under rules but this gelding will probably be seen in a brighter light sooner or later; market needs checking on handicap debut.
Spotlight: Perhaps won too well at Naas (soft/heavy) as the 9lb rise was surely a factor in his defeat at Thurles, though he still ran okay in fairness; others are more intriguing here.
Spotlight: Point winner; won a maiden at Clonmel and ran well under a penalty at Catterick; has since left Gavin Cromwell; this mark looks no gift for handicap debut; tries a tongue-tie.
Spotlight: Well held in his two previous handicaps as a jumper but has since won a Cork novice and a staying handicap on the AW; others are a bit more intriguing, however; cheekpieces removed.
Spotlight: French bumper winner; beaten between 12l and 23l in his maiden hurdles; he's not obviously well in for this first handicap but it's early days and the potential is there to improve; tongue-tie added.
Spotlight: Won Bellewstown bumper (good to yielding) last April; there's been sufficient promise in his maidens to believe he might be competitive off this sort of mark, though he has been absent for over a year and looks the yard second string on jockey bookings.
Spotlight: Bumper winner; runner-up in three of her four maiden hurdles and she's likeably consistent; whether she's that well handicapped is another matter; hood added.
Spotlight: 1m4f winner; 0-6 as a hurdler but was third off this mark at Christmas and then ran into the smart Proactif here in January; the concern is his ordinary run last time at Down Royal (maiden).
Spotlight: Two respectable Flat runs last month but 0-10 over hurdles and has come up shy in less competitive races than this.
Spotlight: Some promise in bumpers/maidens but offered little on switch to handicaps at Leopardstown (14-1).
Spotlight: Only had two runs over hurdles, last time winning a maiden on good ground at Tramore (first-time hood); good and bad on the Flat since then; lacks jumping experience for a race of this nature.
Spotlight: Hasn't performed badly in either of her handicaps without looking ahead of her mark; this is no easier.
Spotlight: Not beaten far in a Galway bumper on debut but hasn't kicked from that; wouldn't be the obvious answer on handicap debut.
Spotlight: Only 1-6 in points and her 12l maiden hurdle win at Downpatrick (2m2f, good) is very much a standout piece of form over hurdles; others have more pressing claims.
